MURRAY ROTARY: CANDIDATE FOR MURRAY CITY MAYOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Murray Rotary was honored to have long time Murray resident Ted Eyre formally announce his candidacy for Murray City Mayor on Monday, March 18th.  Ted felt Murray Rotary was the perfect place to announce his candidacy since he has many friends in Murray Rotary and because he was involved in the founding and running of the Murray Greenhouse that has been one of Murray Rotary’s ongoing projects.

Ted had been approach almost 12 years ago by former Mayor Lynn Pett to run for Mayor.  The timing was not quite right, as Ted work for Delta Airlines, flying international routes and was only home a few days a month.  Now Ted is retired from Delta Airlines.  The subject was approached again a few years ago.  The timing is perfect right now and Ted wants to devote his time and effort to serving the citizens of Murray.

Ted Eyre’s campaign slogan is “Build on the Past and Focus on the Future.”  He lists four very important qualifications as (1) integrity, (2) dedication, (3) service, and (4) leadership.  He feels Murray’s greatest assets are its informed and involved citizens.
